"Born into a family of artists, I began drawing and painting when I was old enough to hold a crayon. From that day forward I have always had a passion for art.

I received my art education from college and private teachers, however, I believe my real art education and inspiration came from life in general and visiting the famous art museums around the world. I studied the original paintings of artists such as Picasso, Chagall, Miro, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Dufy, Kahlo, Matisse, Pollack, Rauschenberg, and many others.

I'm especially inspired when I meet my clients who commission me to create the perfect paintings for their homes. Their personalities, room decor, colors, and furniture are my muse.

I also love nature and animals, so I am often inspired by the drama and/or beauty of the color of nature. A tree, a mountain at sunset, or a foggy day at the beach, all inspire me.

Once, when I was driving down a very narrow, winding country road, I found myself behind an old dairy truck and it was traveling at a snail's pace. The "antique" truck had seen better days. I was initially feeling impatient, however, very quickly I became enthralled by the back end of the truck which was in front of me for miles. It was covered with blotches of rust, over pale yellow paint that was chipping away, and touches of faded (once cobalt blue) lettering. I loved the colors, combined. I could see my next painting!

The world and life inspire me.
